1. Introduction

Welcome to QuickMerge ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website and services.

2. Information the Core Tools Do Not Require

QuickMerge operates with a strict privacy-first approach:

  • No account details are required: Core tools can be used without providing a name or email address.
  • We do not require registration or accounts: There are no sign-up forms, no login requirements, and no user accounts to manage.
  • Optional tracking is consent-gated: Google Analytics and advertising scripts are not loaded unless you choose “Allow” in the consent notice.
  • QuickMerge does not provide a document-processing upload endpoint: Supported local operations read the selected file in browser memory.
  • Hosting and optional services still receive connection data: Loading the website can expose an IP address, browser details and request timestamps to the providers described below.

3. How Our Tools Work

Supported file operations use local browser processing through JavaScript, WebAssembly and browser file APIs:

  • Files are loaded directly into your browser's memory: When you select files for processing, they are read directly from your device into your browser's temporary memory.
  • Local processing for supported operations: The selected file is handled by code running in the tab rather than a QuickMerge document-processing server.
  • Some resources are downloaded: A tool can fetch its JavaScript engine or language data; those requests are separate from the selected file and can be inspected in the browser network panel.
  • Browser memory is temporary: Closing or refreshing the page releases the page's in-memory state under normal browser behavior.
  • No permanent storage: We don't save files to your device unless you explicitly choose to download the processed results.

4. Google AdSense and Analytics

Google Analytics and Google AdSense are optional services. Their scripts load only after you give consent through our privacy notice.

  • Google AdSense: Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads after consent. Google’s advertising cookies can support personalized advertising based on visits to this and other websites.
  • Google Analytics: After consent, Analytics may collect usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and interaction events. We configure IP anonymization and never send document names or document contents.
  • Your choices: You may decline optional services and continue using every document tool. You can revisit the consent control to withdraw permission. You may also manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.
  • Separation from documents: Analytics and advertising are not given access to files processed inside the tools.

5. Third-Party Services

QuickMerge uses third-party infrastructure and software resources to deliver the website. Depending on the page and your consent choice, these may include:

  • Netlify: Website hosting, content delivery, security, and standard server logs
  • Google AdSense and Google Analytics: Optional advertising and measurement after consent
  • Google Fonts, Font Awesome, CDNJS, and jsDelivr: Fonts, icons, document-processing libraries, and consent-interface resources
  • FormSubmit: Contact-form delivery when you intentionally submit a message

These providers may process connection information such as IP address, browser details, and request timestamps under their own privacy terms. They do not receive the documents you process in QuickMerge tools.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The site stores a consent preference so it can remember your choice. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are activated only after you select “Allow.” Selecting “Decline” leaves those scripts unloaded.

  • Consent storage: Remembers whether optional services were allowed or declined
  • Analytics storage: Used by Google Analytics only after consent
  • Advertising storage: Used by Google AdSense only after consent

Document-processing tools continue to work when optional services are declined.

7. Data Retention

QuickMerge does not retain uploaded document copies because the supported local workflows have no document upload step. Other providers can retain connection, consent, analytics, advertising or submitted contact data under their own configurations and policies.

  • The site stores your consent preference in the browser for up to one year.
  • Google Analytics retention is controlled in the Google property and should be confirmed by the owner before relying on a specific period.
  • Hosting and form providers control their own server-log and message-retention periods.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. International Data Transfers

QuickMerge is operated from Canada, while hosting, content-delivery, analytics, advertising, and form-delivery providers may process connection or message data in other countries. Your documents remain on your device for tools identified as on-device; only data you intentionally submit, such as a contact message, is transmitted.

10. Your Rights

Privacy rights depend on your location and on which provider processed the data. You can decline or withdraw optional analytics and advertising consent on this site. For a request concerning information intentionally submitted to QuickMerge, use the contact form. This page describes data flows; it does not claim legal compliance with a particular privacy regime.

11. Security Measures

While we don't store your files, we implement security measures to protect our website:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • Browser-enforced same-origin and content-security controls configured by the site
  • Local processing reduces exposure of document contents for supported operations

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
