1. Introduction

Welcome to QuickMerge ("we," "our," or "us"). We are committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use our website and services.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

QuickMerge operates with a strict privacy-first approach:

  • We do not collect any personal information: You can use all our tools without providing your name, email address, or any other personal data.
  • We do not require registration or accounts: There are no sign-up forms, no login requirements, and no user accounts to manage.
  • Optional tracking is consent-gated: Google Analytics and advertising scripts are not loaded unless you choose “Allow” in the consent notice.
  • We do not store your files on our servers: All file processing occurs 100% in your web browser.
  • We do not have access to any files you process: Your files are loaded directly into your browser's memory and never transmitted to our servers.

3. How Our Tools Work

All file processing occurs 100% in your web browser using modern web technologies:

  • Files are loaded directly into your browser's memory: When you select files for processing, they are read directly from your device into your browser's temporary memory.
  • All processing happens locally on your device: Our tools use WebAssembly and JavaScript to process files entirely within your browser.
  • No data is transmitted to our servers: Your files, file contents, and processing results never leave your computer.
  • Files are automatically cleared from memory: When you close the tab or refresh the page, all file data is automatically removed from browser memory.
  • No permanent storage: We don't save files to your device unless you explicitly choose to download the processed results.

4. Google AdSense and Analytics

Google Analytics and Google AdSense are optional services. Their scripts load only after you give consent through our privacy notice.

  • Google AdSense: Google and its advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads after consent. Google’s advertising cookies can support personalized advertising based on visits to this and other websites.
  • Google Analytics: After consent, Analytics may collect usage information such as pages viewed, approximate location, device type, and interaction events. We configure IP anonymization and never send document names or document contents.
  • Your choices: You may decline optional services and continue using every document tool. You can revisit the consent control to withdraw permission. You may also manage personalized advertising in Google Ads Settings.
  • Separation from documents: Analytics and advertising are not given access to files processed inside the tools.

5. Third-Party Services

QuickMerge uses third-party infrastructure and software resources to deliver the website. Depending on the page and your consent choice, these may include:

  • Netlify: Website hosting, content delivery, security, and standard server logs
  • Google AdSense and Google Analytics: Optional advertising and measurement after consent
  • Google Fonts, Font Awesome, CDNJS, and jsDelivr: Fonts, icons, document-processing libraries, and consent-interface resources
  • FormSubmit: Contact-form delivery when you intentionally submit a message

These providers may process connection information such as IP address, browser details, and request timestamps under their own privacy terms. They do not receive the documents you process in QuickMerge tools.

6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies

The site stores a consent preference so it can remember your choice. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are activated only after you select “Allow.” Selecting “Decline” leaves those scripts unloaded.

  • Consent storage: Remembers whether optional services were allowed or declined
  • Analytics storage: Used by Google Analytics only after consent
  • Advertising storage: Used by Google AdSense only after consent

Document-processing tools continue to work when optional services are declined.

7. Data Retention

Since we don't collect personal data or store your files, there's no user data to retain. However:

  • Anonymous analytics data is retained for up to 26 months
  • Server logs containing IP addresses are automatically deleted after 30 days
  • No file data is ever stored on our servers

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are not directed to individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately.

9. International Data Transfers

QuickMerge is operated from Canada, while hosting, content-delivery, analytics, advertising, and form-delivery providers may process connection or message data in other countries. Your documents remain on your device for tools identified as on-device; only data you intentionally submit, such as a contact message, is transmitted.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to Access: You can request information about what data we have about you (though we don't collect personal data)
  • Right to Deletion: You can request deletion of any data we might have
  • Right to Opt-out: You can opt-out of analytics tracking and personalized advertising

To exercise these rights, contact us through our contact form

11. Security Measures

While we don't store your files, we implement security measures to protect our website:

  • HTTPS encryption for all data transmission
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Secure server configuration
  • DDoS protection through Cloudflare

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. We encourage you to review this Privacy Policy periodically for any changes.
