Fix Sideways Pages in Seconds
Scanners and phone cameras constantly produce PDFs with pages turned the wrong way. This tool rotates any or all pages by 90°, 180°, or 270° and saves a corrected copy — without ever re-compressing your content, so text stays selectable and images keep their quality.
Enter a page range like 1-3, 5 to rotate only specific pages, or leave it blank to rotate the whole document. Everything runs on your device via open-source browser libraries — your file is never uploaded. You can verify it yourself.
Frequently Asked Questions
No. The tool sets a rotation flag on each page exactly like a desktop PDF editor — it never re-renders your content, so there is zero quality loss and the file size barely changes.
Yes. Type a range such as 2-4, 7 in the pages field. Leave it blank to rotate every page.
No — rotation happens entirely in your browser with the open-source pdf-lib library. Nothing is sent anywhere.
90° clockwise, 180° (upside down), and 270° (90° counter-clockwise). Rotations add to any existing page rotation.
Rotation fixes orientation—not the scan itself
Turning a page changes its viewing direction. It does not deskew a crooked scan, crop dark borders, improve resolution or run OCR.
Rotate only the affected pages
Mixed scanner batches often contain portrait pages, landscape tables and one accidental upside-down sheet. Review page thumbnails before applying a global rotation. A landscape chart may already be correct even when it looks sideways relative to the surrounding portrait pages.
Understand orientation metadata
Some PDFs use a page rotation flag while others contain artwork that is physically drawn sideways. Rebuilding the PDF should make the result consistent for ordinary viewers, but specialised forms, annotations or digitally signed files deserve an extra check after export.
Know when to use another tool
Use Organize PDF when pages also need reordering or deletion. Use OCR after rotation when a scan must become searchable. Do not rotate a signed PDF if signature validity matters: modifying page structure can invalidate cryptographic signatures even when the visible content is unchanged.
