What resolution do I get?

Why is my converted image blurry?

Usually the resolution setting rather than the source. Raise it and convert again. If the PDF is itself a low-resolution scan, no export setting can add detail that was never captured.

PNG avoids additional lossy compression of the rendered pixels. JPEG can produce smaller photographic pages but can introduce artifacts around small text. Compare a demanding page at full size before converting the rest.

Higher resolution renders more pixels and uses more memory. It does not recover detail absent from an embedded scan. Check small labels and thin lines in the actual saved image.

An image has no PDF text layer

The output contains pixels, not the PDF’s text, links, fields or signature validation. A receiving application may apply its own OCR. Keep the PDF if those document features are needed.
